Democratic Party mobilizes most inclusive and expansive network of Asian Americans to advance progressive platform

AAPI Media Center to Engage and Activate Fastest Growing Population Across the Country, To Provide Availabilities with AAPI Public Officials, Delegates, Executives and Leaders

On the heels of the Republican National Committee nominating a divisive platform which denigrates minority communities, the specialty media team of the Democratic National Convention Committee (DNCC) today launched the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Media Center, to highlight the bold vision and progressive blueprint of the Democratic Party that is lifting up the collective prospects of the AAPI community from coast to coast.

The Center, and the official convention caucus meetings, will align throughout the convention in Philadelphia, PA to deploy a network of communications operatives, a rapid-response press and booking operation, and digital media team to connect the wide tapestry of media outlets to campaign surrogates, party officials, and industry executives in real time – to tell the story of how the Asian American and Pacific Islander community is rapidly rising and shaping the direction of the country.

Featured Surrogates Include:

Constance Wu, Critically Acclaimed Actress for the hit television show, “Fresh Off the Boat”
U.S. Department of Labor Deputy Secretary, Chris Lu
