Delegate Profile: Judy Ki

Chinese American Judy Ki is a pledged delegate from San Diego, California.

Judy is a retired middle school science teacher. She recently served as a Commissioner on the California Commission on Asian & Pacific Islander American Affairs (2012 – 2016). Judy founded the AAPI Democratic Club in San Diego County in 2013. She is actively involved with the San Diego County Democratic Party and has served as a delegate to the California Democratic Convention since 2005. Originally from Hong Kong, Judy is an avid gardener and a world traveler.

Why do you support Hillary for president in 2016?
Secretary Clinton is the most qualified candidate to lead our country.

Which of Hillary’s platforms resonate with you most and why?
Secretary Clinton’s New College Compact will help millions of Americans with their debt right now and to make college debt-free for future generations.

If Hillary is elected in 2016, what kind of lasting impact will her Presidency have on AAPI communities across the U.S.?
AAPIs will have a seat at the table when Secretary Clinton becomes president. She has always reached out into our communities. We are not just a campaign slogan.

Why do you believe AAPIs support Hillary for President in 2016?
It is very simple, President Bill Clinton and Secretary Clinton has always been there for our communities, an example is the White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, founded during the Clinton Administration.
