Lots of information from an email by Jason Tengco today about the New York AAPI Week of Action, and how we can help get out the vote for Hillary in this critical primary on April 19.
On April 11, Hillary kicked off our AAPI Week of Action by meeting with leaders from Muslim, Sikh, Jain, Hindu, and South Asian communities in Jackson Heights. She shared her powerful message and efforts to push back against the harmful anti-Muslim/anti-immigrant rhetoric being espoused by the other side.
On April 12, President Bill Clinton headlined an AAPI organizing event with Rep. Grace Meng in Flushing with almost 700 participants! President Clinton highlighted Hillary’s vision for a thriving AAPI community, and her efforts fighting for comprehensive immigration reform, small business growth, and affordable and quality education and health care.
On April 13, Hillary picked up a key endorsement from the New York Immigration Action Fund, the largest immigrant rights coalition in the nation, and vowed to create an Office of Immigrant Affairs if elected President.
