#VC30 Rivals Obama’s for Largest Google Hangout

Today’s nationwide event “Vincent Chin 30: Standing Up Then and Now,” presented by Asian Pacific Americans for Progress, featured a Google Hangout with leading civil rights leaders from around the country, including Congresswoman Judy Chu, CAIR-SF Executive Director Zahra Billoo, OCA Executive Director Tom Hayashi, Asian American Justice Center Executive Director Mee Moua and guest moderator Phil Yu (AngryAsianMan.com).

Ramey Ko tweeted that Google folks think today’s event might be the second largest Google Hangout after one held by President Obama.

Writer Frances Kai-Hwa Wang is keeping the content and conversation going on her website, RememberingVincentChin.com, and you can view the #vc30 stream for thoughts from some of the hundreds who attended.

Kudos to APAP’s Curtis Chin and all the volunteers for putting this incredible event on!
